Don't let anyone belittle you or your work!I've been catching up a lot on dA since I got back and have been a bit surprised by some of the things going on. I've noticed that some of the wonderful artists I love and admire are being pushed aside for some ... interesting works. I won't get into a debate on this, at the end of the day, this is just my opinion. But how can a quick sketch that has been edited in photoshop to add some sparkle, outrank something that someone has put 30+ hours into and is pencil perfection? I don't understand the world anymore. Anyway, I just wanted to say I still appreciate your work and dedication .. for what that's worth

that I contemplate climbing into their smiling jaws
thinking that it might be better to be split in two than left hanging.
But always, I draw my red hood and flit back into the forest
running in the shadows of pathways, never stepping into clearings
because I’ve spent my whole life in the wilderness
and I still can’t tell the wolves from the woodsmen.
